Sam Sawyers
Originally from England, Sam began her career over 25 years ago in London. There she completed her training and honed her skills at the L’Oréal Technical Centre in Kensington and the prestigious Toni & Guy Academy in London.
From the very beginning, her love and talent for hair coloring were unmistakable. After completing the Academy, Sam developed into one of the top color specialists in the industry. She then worked at the famous Toni & Guy Salon in Notting Hill, London.
In 2004, she moved from London to Amsterdam, where, alongside her work at the Toni & Guy salon, she conducted trainings for companies such as Wella and L’Oréal. She now works freelance. Previously, she was the Colour Director of The Hairschool Workshops. Sam was nominated for Hair Colour Technician in 2011 and 2013 at the prestigious Coiffure Awards.
Since 2017, Sam has been an ambassador for the haircare brand Olaplex. The philosophy of Olaplex is to support healthy hair. Alongside Olaplex, Sam is an educator and advocate for O&M and VIRTUE.
In 2018, Sam was one of the original co-founders of a reputable and popular hair salon based in Amsterdam’s Old South. After 7 years as a salon owner and 21 years in Amsterdam, her journey took her out of Europe, across the Atlantic, where she is now based, continuing to create beautiful, healthy sun-kissed blondes (and brunettes).
Her unique strength lies in her ability to create custom hair color tailored to the personality of her clients, where her talent, knowledge, vision, and dedication make all the difference.
